4 Mile Run

My plan called for a 4 mile run today (it is a step-back week for me) and I'm happy to say that I was able to complete the run with hardly any pain in my foot. In fact, there was only 1 small twinge that lasted only a couple of seconds and then it felt good. I did not push my pace at all - I don't even know what it was yet. All I really wanted was a pain-free run. I will continue to ice and hope for the best. I just wish I knew what the cause was!!!

Onto better news......I'm officially in a maintenance phase on my weight loss. I have reached my goal of 133 (now I can get myself a new watch - YEAH!!)!! I decided to not worry about anymore weight loss until after my race. Even then I'm not sure I'll jump right back into it. My weight right now is slightly lower than it was when I was in college and high school (my weight stayed the same in college but I changed the composition greatly - played 2 collegiate sports so I was in really good shape). I'm not sure what my calorie intake will be like - I have a note into coach but I'll just have to wait until he gets back to me. I have to say that I'm looking forward to not stressing about the weight loss for a while though. I know I'll still have to be careful so that I don't gain a bunch back but it will be nice to have some increased calories without stressing about whether I'll reach my goal for the week. New territory and I'm excited!!!

Work hard, eat right and reach for your goals!

Thanks Gina,

I'm going to get a Timex Ironman watch. I've had one for years and the battery died. After a lot of frustration I got the battery changed only to find that the alarms didn't work anymore. At least I could use it for time....WRONG! Then the watch band broke. I'm taking the hint and getting a new one!

Anna, I'm definitely working on those pictures. I've been waiting until I reached this latest goal before taking the pictures.
